Institute for Nepal concludes a 2-day screening study on rare lung and heart disorders in children in rural Nepal.

 Dr. Pragati Ghimire, co-founder of the organization says in a statement, "The Institute for Nepal is proud to partner with Pulmonary Hypertension Association Nepal and Sotang Village Government (Solukhumbu) and conducted a two-day screening study on rare heart and lung disorders in children in Sotang Village, Solukhumbu."

According to Ghimire, this is the first project under their 'Healthy Nepal Initiative' and they would like to thank everyone in Nepal and abroad who joined us in this collaborative effort.

Press release that Ghimire forwarded to media reads, "The Institute for Nepal looks forward to doing many more studies to understand the health status of ordinary Nepali people in remote areas, and design solutions to address the identified needs where possible." 

The main purpose of this organization is to develop programs in the fields of education, health, environment, social work etc. that lead to an optimal wellbeing in the disadvantaged population in Nepal.  Talent from Nepal and overseas will work together to develop evidence-based cutting-edge educational, training and practice programs that can be implemented at local levels. Sustainable programs in partnerships with local governments will be created wherever possible. Our initiatives are in alignment with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030 (#UNSDG30)
